Rare iPhone Shatters Auction Record

Rare 4GB Sealed Original iPhone Shatters Record, Sells for Over $190,000 in Auction

In June, a sealed and exceptionally rare 4GB version of the original iPhone was auctioned and fetched a staggering $190,373, breaking the previous record of $63,000 set in February. The demand and prices for sealed original iPhones had decreased in the past few months, but this particular 4GB model saw intense bidding activity in the final day and hours of the auction. The phone's significant value increase over its original $499 price was attributed to its rarity and provenance, as it came from a former Apple engineer who worked on the smartphone.
